Booking terms.
These terms apply to consultations and treatments booked with Blackline Clinic once bookings open. They don't affect your statutory rights.
Consultations
Every treatment starts with a consultation. We'll check the treatment is safe and suitable for you, agree the design and confirm the price. We may decline or postpone treatment if it isn't safe or right for you. We'll send you a medical questionnaire to complete before your appointment.
Age
We only treat clients aged 18 or over, and we may ask for photo ID.
Deposits and payment
- A £100 deposit secures an SMP booking. It comes off the price of your treatment.
- For other treatments, we'll tell you the deposit when you book.
- The rest of the price is split across your sessions and paid at each one, by card or bank transfer.
Changing or cancelling
- Give us at least 48 hours' notice to move or cancel an appointment. Your deposit moves to the new date, or we refund it.
- With less than 48 hours' notice, or if you don't turn up, we keep the deposit to cover the time we reserved for you. We'll always consider genuine emergencies.
- If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to rebook you.
- If we have to cancel, you can rebook or have your deposit refunded in full.
Your right to cancel
If you book online or by phone, you can cancel within 14 days for a full refund. If you ask for an appointment within those 14 days and it goes ahead, you pay for the treatment you've had.
Results and aftercare
Results vary from person to person, and SMP softens over time, so top-ups are needed every few years. We'll review your result after your final session. Following the aftercare instructions is an important part of getting a good result.
Refunds
Sessions that have taken place aren't refundable, because the time and materials have been used. If you're unhappy with any part of your treatment, tell us and we'll do our best to put it right.
Model places
Model places are offered at a reduced price in return for before-and-after photos of your treatment. Please only apply if you're happy for your photos to be used. You choose whether they show your face or your scalp only.
The support rate
The support rate is 70% off SMP for clients who have lost hair through cancer treatment, alopecia or another medical condition. Before your first session, we'll need a short note or letter from your oncologist, specialist nurse, GP or dermatologist confirming what caused your hair loss and that you're well enough for SMP. If you've had chemotherapy or radiotherapy, we'll wait until at least six months after your last treatment. The support rate can't be combined with other offers, and our other terms apply as normal. If the support rate is claimed using false information, the standard price applies to any treatment you've had.
Your health
Tell us about any change to your health or medication before each session. For your safety, we may postpone treatment.
Respect for our team
Everyone at Blackline should feel safe at work. If a client is abusive or threatening, or behaves in a sexual or discriminatory way towards anyone at the clinic, we'll end the appointment straight away and may refuse future bookings. We'll do the same if you arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, because treatment wouldn't be safe. In either case, we keep the deposit for that appointment.
Complaints
If something isn't right, contact us. We'll reply within 7 days and aim to resolve things quickly and fairly.
